It was designed to shoot incendiary rounds to replace the aging army's flamethrower from World War 2, the M1 and M2. Go figure. It's always shown taking out tanks or giant monsters in video games, when it reality it burns shit.
I am always disappointed that video games don't let me indulge in my pyromania more often
Not enough things start fires, not enough things burn, flamethrowers don't shoot far enough...
Bah humbug
I remember MGSV having some good fire simulation, I think. Far Cry 2 as well.
Far Cry 3 has an amazing flamethrower mission, and I believe FC4 has a flamethrower as well. FC5 definitely has one, along with all the other goodies you can imagine.
Ah yes, the thing Jill always stomps me with in MVC2
Once i get to like stage 5 or 6 I start to suck. Just trying to unlock Iron Man now but he never comes up in the shop.
Yeah I was never very good at MvC it's too chaotic for my smol brain.
It also leaks self-igniting fuel all over the place bc iirc it's a factory loaded unit and can't be disassembled to store the launcher separated from the ammo. Classic US MIC.
Apparently they stopped using them a long time ago bc thermobaric weapons are so much better for killing people in fortifications.
