      How do I turn the gpgkey into code? Or is it just compiled code.

        It's the cryptographic key needed to be plugged in to the decryption algorithm along with the encrypted content to produce the original unencrypted output - video, in this case. You need a lot more code to actually do the decryption, but this is the "secret" part. Except it's absurd to pretend it's secret since each user's browser necessarily needs to have it in order to play the video, but it's fun and apparently profitable to pretend.

          Wait, they shipped a private key in clientside DRM? Google has how many engineers and couldn't come up with a better idea than that?

            The principle of DRM is inherent nonsense, they're trying to prevent you from decrypting content, except that you must decrypt it in order to watch it. It's a contradiction. This is DeCSS all over again.
