    That's an interesting perspective. If I understand your argument correctly, I'd add general conservatism (including economic liberalism) and harmful cults. Though, there is a predatory nature to all three as well, specifically seeking out those whose memetic immune systems are not resistant.

      The way trans-hatred seems to start relatively mildly then rapidly consume someone until their whole personality is just raging, incoherent terfdom seems like it's own thing. It happens with other ideologies but you can watch someone on twitter become consumed with TERF brain until it's all they post about over the course of a few months. Its bizarre.

        It seems to be more like a conspiracy theory in that regard. Just completely consuming a person until there is nothing left but the anger and hatred towards their imagined enemies. A lot of conservative ideologies are functionally similar, but I agree that this one seems more like something like Qanon than regular mainstream conservatism. There's probably some feedback loop that causes people to just double down harder and harder with this one.
