A bamboo-backed bloodwood longbow that I’m working on. I found this gorgeous piece of deep red bloodwood at my local woodworking shop and I knew immediately that I had to teach that sucker how to bend. I’ll try to post prettier pics when it’s finished.
Great work OP. Ended up watching a load of youtube bowyer videos a few months back and a lot more work goes in to them than I'd have thought. Looks really nice, what draw weight?
Thank you! It is a long and complicated, albeit extremely relaxing process. This bow draws 60 lbs at about 28” currently, but I plan on tillering it out to about 29” since I have long arms.
