      I like him. Been reading his books. He explains things in ways which are compelling and interesting sounding, but they don't really make sense unless you know exactly where he's coming from, generally.

      Or maybe I'm just a dummy who has bought into the cult idk

        He's entertaining, I dont dislike him. I just judge by this maxim: "If you cant explain it simply, you dont understand it well enough."

        Sounds like math theory books written by math PhDs for PhDs understanding, while I was like "for fuck sake I don't know what euclidean means nor what does that has to do with a tensor whatever that is, just tell me how to multiply matrices"

            I've got a degree in physics and happened to take a very rigorous course on linear algebra early on. Tensors are two months of doing exercises blind until one day it clicks and it becomes obvious. The funny thing is that once I got it I realised that well over half of my professors who pretended to use tensors in their lectures—all very knowledgeable and experts in their fields—didn't actually understand the notation.

              I flunked out in my first year. I think Tensors were material from the 2nd semester.
