I could eat it any time. Any combination of porridge, cereals, muesli, yogurt, pancakes, fruits, berries fresh bread, fresh pastries, jams, tea, coffee, hot chocolate.
Then you have the fried foods, sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, little sweet potato tatties, black pudding, white pudding, fried spam or bacon grill (if you're brave enough!)
I can make eggs in 8 different ways french omelette, spanish omelette, scrambled, fried, creamy, poached, hard boiled, soft boiled...but I'm sure there are more that I haven't yet tried.
Let's be fair now to it's merit lunch has sandwiches and cold pasta which is okay I guess.
But dinner is grueling to cook, makes you sweat your tits off, takes an ungodly effort and you eat it in half the time it took you to cook.
Breakfast is so serene and peaceful, it's an event, the main meal of the day.
Fuck capitalism for squeezing out breakfast in favor of lunch and dinner. And fuck brunch.
Counterpoint: you can have all those things for lunch or dinner, but I much prefer eating later in the day, thus breakfast is the worst meal (besides brunch).
Breakfast is technically just the first meal of the day. Before I worked at home I used to have to force some toast down my self within the first hour of the day and try not to die before lunch. Now I eat whenever which is never earlier than half 10.
Yeah I've been eating breakfast at 1 or 2 pm lately lol. When I was taking classes in person I did like to go to the dining hall and have a small breakfast every day, partially because most people seem to skip breakfast or something at my college and it's usually empty in mornings in the dining hall.
I didn't know there was egg substitute! I'm definitely going to get on to that. I'm trying hard to eat as much vegan food as possible and eggs are a proper barrier.
Tofu scramble can taste basically the same as egg. You can also add a bit of turmeric to it so it's yellow like the real deal too
You're totally right! I do 16/8 intermittent fasting, and my feeding window used to be lunch / afternoon snack / dinner, from 12 till 8. Switched that to breakfast / lunch / snack, from 8 till 6, and only then did I realize how much I missed having breakfast, and how much dinner sucks.
Breakfast foods are great but I often struggle to eat a big meal first thing after I wake up
Before I worked at home having to force feed my self in the first hour of the day and then having to hold out until lunch was awful. I think it's natural not to eat within the first two or three hours after getting up. Only on occasion do I wake up genuinely hungry.
I don't like Breakfast at all. A lot of it just eggs, eggs, eggs, and it's "ugh."
I think the only breakfast stuff I like is Pancakes and French Toast. I rather have an Early Lunch or Dinner over Breakfast food any day of the week.
