The linked post is a long winded rant about why leftists becoming more fundamentally involved in gun culture is bad actually. A leftist opening a gun store? Bad actually. A leftist opening a gun range? Bad actually. A leftist getting an FFL? Believe it or not, this user did their homework and it’s bad actually.
This post is one of many posts/comments I’ve seen on the sub recently that are actively discouraging or misinforming users. Some examples:
I have 30 non-profit clients that I’ve helped secure grants for advertising. I also help them create campaigns for outreach and advocacy using their free ad money. I help them with organizing and mutual aid efforts and I’ve done all of that for years now, growing the number of clients I work with. The people in the comment section either a. Have no clue what they are talking about, but are continuing to talk about it with extreme confidence or b. Are purposefully misinforming leftists about their individual rights or the rights of their organizations to agitate and advocate on their behalf.
On top of all that I’m currently looking to open a gun range and get an FFL myself, I’m hoping to help facilitate and encourage what I see as a potentially large upswing in leftist gun ownership in the very near term.
Anyways, my whole post here is probably libshit but I feel like there’s some active concern trolling going on over there and it’s dumb. Carry on.
The SRA sub is an open reddit forum. Anybody can post there and it's generally seen as an unofficial space for the organization. We have no actual mod capacity over it.
I understand that fully. Never in my post was there an argument against the SRA. I’m just calling out a few bullshit takes that cropped up on the sub.
Oh yeah for sure. I'm more just pointing out the why. Anybody can make an account for the SRA reddit and run psyops, or whatever other wrecker shit you can think of. Fash stumbling across the sub is also a big issue.
Did I miss the part about leftist ranges being bad? The gun store part sort of makes sense from an economic standpoint
Nah you didn’t miss it. I was just extrapolating and being hyperbolic. But I’m sure if directly asked that user would hem and haw about a leftist range as well.
