It's a shared public service but everybody on it could not act more hostile and isolated from each other
Just 2 weeks ago me and a friend stopped a train ourselves to call for help because somebody passed out and fell over and the ~30 people that got on the train before us all just walked past him and avoided his still body like it was poison or something
On the subway I also once pointed out a lady's shoes was untied because I was tripping on acid and felt no social anxiety and she stared at me like I was a murderer. She then proceeded to tie her shoes immediately afterwards lmao
incredible performance, I do not often enjoy public spaces and commutes.

When you are around that much suffering you either become worked into a blind rage or become numb.
I admit i have my fair share of numbness. I don't blame anyone for trying to ignore something they can't help. I try to help when i can
