I'd send him a Zizek, Hedges, Taibbi's criticism of mainstream journalism, and in exchange he'd send me some insufferable shitlib Ezra Klein type deal which I'd read in good faith. We'd get on the phone and have like an hour back and forth about this stuff. I swear to you not a second after the votes were counted and Biden won, he's on a self imposed "news fast." He won't read any news articles, including the one I am linking him about Biden fucking the progressives to their face by appointing Tanden (he swore up and down this wouldn't happen). He "doesn't want to interrupt the level of zen he's achieved right now" - an actual quote. Literally blue man has won and current events is over.
