Love KGATLW, seen the boys live twice now and both experiences were phenomenal. Last time I saw them was October last year and the crowd was insane, moshing and jumping and shoving from literally the first note they played. Feels so weird thinking about being that close with so many people in one room lol.

They've always had an environmentalism angle to their music too, and especially with ITRN and FFF they've been decidedly more forward about it which rules. Mars For The Rich fucking shreds.

Their newest album, K.G., also has tons of leftist environmental themes. Straws in the Wind, in particular, seems to capture the doomer "everything is fucked" angle really well. Nothing as good as them shouting, "Red Mars for the riiiicccchhhhh" though, that song is a treasure. Love me some King Gizzard.

I mean hey I wouldn't count on that, they've only released one studio album since then and they still play stuff from IIYMF and Nonagon Infinity at their shows so I would think they'll still regularly keep stuff from ITRN in their setlists! Either way though they're all incredible musicians and their music was probably the defining soundtrack of the last few years for me. They're an awesome band and I'm glad they're getting some love here.

I saw them in 2018 in a grass field after it had rained heavily so everything was covered in mud and it was pretty insane. Fucking disaster of a festival, my shoes were filled with mud and there was probably a non-negligible risk of getting electrocuted if you even walked near one of the food trucks, and it was hard to tell if you were stepping on shit or mud when entering a porta-potty, but it was one of the best bands I've seen live. And also everyone was shouting "awooo" when the festival was over. Totally worth it.

Hell yes, at my first Gizz concert everyone was screaming "EEYYYYUP!" before, during, and after the show. Was amazing seeing the crowd so fired up even after the show had ended.

In 2018, I saw them outside in the middle of summer and almost had a heat stroke in the pit
