I took a 10 hour flight to fly 3 hours. Thinking that flight attendants aren’t paid while not in the air is unbelievable. Once the boarding process starts, so should the pay clock.
Frankly once they arrive at their home airport and clock in they should be on the clock.... other hourly people get paid when they have on-call and can't do their own thing, or if there's a business trip, so why shouldn't they? The only exception I would see would be a stay over somewhere but again, they'd be clocking out when they left the airport.
