here is what I think non shitty gaylor discourse would look like.

no hard labeling. taylor swift is not out (being out is not a vibe, its a political status, that deserves respect), its not ok in my opinion to label anyone a sexuality they dont identify with. Taylor swift is a celebrity that will never see hexbear but this is something I have noticed growing in queer culture I see bleeding into real life. try to destroy the impulse in your own mind to put hard labels on strangers in general. I personally think that queer or sapphic are general enough terms

  1. no one get too heated, this should be fun

  2. hetlors go away.

post your gaylor lyrics in the comments.

i literately SCREAMED when I saw it, not to mention the CLEAR symbolism in the music video. in the video only openly queer people are in the town (katy perry has kissed and fallen in love with women so shes in). ryan renolds the token ally is not allowed in the limits of the queer city, he can only paint from afar.

Ryan Reynolds is rumored to be pansexual, but is married to a woman iirc. pretty sure that’s a joke about being queer in a straight relationship lol

very on par for Reynold’s sense of humor tbh

he’s also been pushing to have Deadpool be pan in the movies like he is in the comics lol

    queer lyrics in paris!:

"Your ex-friend's sister Met someone at a club and he kissed her Turns out, it was that guy you hooked up with ages ago Some wannabe Z-lister"

here taylor is talking to her love interest who has previously hooked up with a man. this man is fond of kissing women. could be a bisexual male love interest but that seems less likey

"Privacy sign on the door And on my page and on the whole world Romance is not dead if you keep it just yours"

this is about how she values the privacy of her relationships, now they could be straight relationships

"I wanna brainwash you Into loving me forever I wanna transport you To somewhere the culture's clever Confess my truth In swooping, sloping, cursive letters Let the only flashing lights be the tower at midnight"

now taylor is no longer talking about wanting to hide from the world with her lover, but yearning for a world where they can be together openly. where she can confess her truth. no flashing lights just the eiffle tower. it should be noted that paris has often been seen as a queer city.

    queer lyrics in seven!

"Cross your heart, won't tell no other And though I can't recall your face I still got love for you Your braids like a pattern Love you to the moon and to Saturn Passed down like folk songs The love lasts so long"

here taylor is singing about a child with "braids like a pattern" so we can assume its not likely a boy. taylor doesn't remember the face of her childhood friend but remembers the love they shared.

"And I've been meaning to tell you I think your house is haunted Your dad is always mad and that must be why"

abusive father now what queer child didnt have one of those, right people?(jk) why does he hate his queer child? plus heres the kicker with this next part

"And I think you should come live with me And we can be pirates Then you won't have to cry Or hide in the closet"

open and shut people. this is about two queer seven year olds in love. ive been there... abigale I miss you.

'Please picture me in the weeds Before I learned civility'

please remember me when I was free, before heteronormativity, got to meeeeeeee!

    Maroon

"Looked up at the sky and it was The burgundy on my t-shirt When you splashed your wine into me And how the blood rushed into my cheeks So scarlet, it was The mark thеy saw on my collarbone The rust that grew bеtween telephones The lips I used to call home So scarlet, it was maroon"

this song is so sexy. this one is short HOW MANY MEN HAVE SCARLETT RED LIPS? HUH?

Y'all I'm detecting some gay themes in You Need To Calm Down but it seems really cryptic,

    dear reader

'Dear reader, burn all the files Desert all your past lives And if you don't recognize yourself That means you did it right"

queer vibes, kill your old self, but lets continue

'Never take advice from someone who's falling apart (You should find another)'

taylor is not our queer icon, she is refusing to be one, she is telling us to find another role model, she then contradictory continues to give advice because she knows people will listen

"Dear reader, you don't have to answer Just 'cause they asked you (You should find another) Dear reader, the greatest of luxuries is your secrets

you dont owe anyone your sexuality shes saying, your greatest luxuries is your secrets. \

[Bridge] So I wander through these nights
I prefer hiding in plain sight
My fourth drink in my hand
These desperate prayers of a cursed man
Spilling out to you for free

ok so taylor is not coming out, she "prefers hiding in plain sight" but she is gonna write sapphic songs "these deperate prayers of a cursed man" shes giving to us for free.

    But darling, darling, please
You wouldn't take my word for it if you knew who was talking
If you knew where I was walking
To a house, not a home, all alone 'cause nobody's there
Where I pace in my pen and my friends found friends who care
No one sees when you lose when you're playing solitaire

she makes these queer love songs but you shouldt listen to her, shes lonely, sad, cant maintain these relationships, dont take her advice, shes not who she portrays herself as shes a loser. (shes just like me for real). the part about "freinds who found friends who care" taylor ex "friends" have a queer found family now and she doesnt, another failing of hers.
