I guess for me the nuance is the mindset on one hand: "how can we maximize profit with X amount of resource" opposed by "how can we get the most knowledge with X amount of resource"
I feel like that would shape the nature of science and research in those areas enough .
For me a lot of things in capitalistic society fall into how much growth can I squeeze out compared to a sustainability based approach.
