There was this rich kid in high school that was extremely into CS:GO to the point they would play at either 800x600 or 1024x768 stretched on their brand new 1080p 240 Hertz monitor. They got so deep into this kind of shit that they eventually hunted down a old CRT monitor for their CS:GO setup. It was hilarious to see them hook up an ancient CRT to their brand new GTX 1080 lol.
im assuming tf2 since its the only competitive shooter they made. oh wait, or csgo?
csgo but it's only because everyone who's good at it started playing when 800x600 CRT monitors were standard and kept the 4:3 aspect ratio out of habit
and some panels (like mine) will actually run lower resolutions at 75Hz which does make a noticeable difference
