I'm bored and my thoughts went
- Evolution is so great, that's why we all wear shoes (and our backs don't make sense)
- what if we had feet more like other animals
- what about double articulated legs and hooves or something
- what would people do instead of shiny shoes and nail polish?
Horseshoes with fancy designs. Also, similar technology in modern shoes like ultraboost and react for comfort and slight performance improvements, but in horseshoes.
If we made a big enough boost midsole, would a horse find it as comfortable as a human?
Electricity generated per step to light up clothes. They'd also make super loud horseshoes and super quiet ones for status reasons. If we get to change our legs, I would like reverse jointed fully robotic legs like an AT-ST.
Horse shoes and horse boots are human inventions. Odds are that we'd use something similar for ourselves, if our feet were similar to the horses'. If our legs still have that weird "almost haired, but not so much" pattern we'd likely make the "human horse boots" a bit longer and more flexible, like socks or stockings, to wear in cold days.
It's also possible that we'd wear something around the hoof and horseshoe. Mostly to keep the hoof clean - like that sort of boot that you use over your shoes.
Nail polish would probably be the same.
