Dogleg - Melee - pretty much everything punk/emo should sound like now. Loud, heavy, interesting song structures, and generally songs you just want to fuck shit up to.

The Mountain Goats - Songs for Pierre Chuvin - usually when an artist does a 'back to basics' or purposefully goes back to lo-fi recording styles, it sounds forced. This is the opposite, and brings everything I love about the Mountain Goats, the urgency, storytelling, weird niche topics, and songs that wreck you emotionally.

Jeff Rosenstock - NO DREAM - What is there to say about Jeff Rosenstock other than he keeps putting out consistently amazing albums to the point where it's almost expected. It's also his most depressing for me, so I've kinda avoided it since it's come out.

This is a good list! Spanish Love Songs are so good, been following them since I heard their debut. They really know how to write hard hitting yet catchy lyrics that make you want to belt out at full voice.

Jeff Rosenstock is great too, it's amazing how he keeps putting out mostly (POST notwithstanding) amazing albums to very little fanfare. It's one of my favourites of the year, although I haven't been listening to it much since the summer because it's pretty depressing.

Haven't listened to Teenage Halloween, but from sticking one song on it sounds very much like something I'd like.

Nothing's Great Dismal was a return to what I really like about the band, after not really enjoying their previous album. If anyone likes shoegaze, I would highly recommend their albums
