Writing is a rather vast tent. I have spent far too much energy dipping my toes in a myriad of different formats - from straightforward short stories and poetry to lyric essays and prose poetry. As a result, I've never honed my skill in any particular form leaving my writing to be disgustingly mediocre all around. How did you guys decide on what to write?

(Also plugs to any peer-review writing forums appreciated!)

My writing process is getting really high, typing something up, editing it over a couple of weeks, then showing it to one (1) person, deciding its garbage and starting over.

Getting high is the day-dreaming/idea off the wall phase for me. Actual writing I'm the same as you, gotta be sober.
