I think my problem was just ordering not biryani at a biryani place , I'm just reaaaally spoiled on indian food because I grew up in a place where you had to figure out what kind of indian food you wanted, northern, southern, punjabi, and then all the differences between the different places. Like, for most of my life there was an intersection with like 4 different indian restaurants, the vegetarian one, the one with dosas, the one with meat, and the other one (maybe there were only three. i forget)
but also, yeah I really don't hate british food, just the only time I was there I was vegetarian and it seemed like every restaurant I went to their idea of "vegetarian" was just a boiled leek or some shit.
