Lately I've been feeling like the promise of the internet has failed. The radical potential the internet used to have has been completely destroyed by ownership consolidation and elimination of privacy. Maybe there is nothing worth salvaging about the internet as it exists and a better world can't exist alongside it.
Has anyone smarter than me written on this concept or something that touches it?
