    Stinkhorn of some kind for sure. You can tell by the texture of the stalk as well as the stench of rot. Their spores are spread by flies that land on their goop

      I see why you might think that but dead man's fingers aren't usually this large and tend to have a different color among other differences I'm sure. This is most likely a stinkhorn and is identifiable in my experience by the texture of their stalk, the smell of rot/death, and a usually black or brown goop on the cap.
