Thinking about how little I’ve worked this past year, it scares me to think I used to do 20 hour double shifts and when covid restrictions are over idk if I’ll be able to handle that again

Bars/restaurants just reopened for the first time since November here on Monday and I worked my first bartending shift since reopening tonight. We are only allowed to be open till 10 so management has decided that instead of switching off with another bartender in the middle of the day like we used to do, we should just run one bartender the entire day. I don't know how I used to work shifts of this length before, I genuinely think I need to find a different job.

I’m usually a catering worker but I’ve been helping out at my hotels restaurant and we have the same 10 o’clock rule and the same fucked up scheduling. Both servers and bartenders have to work a double the day they are scheduled and lunch we run with no food runner. It’s sad because I really did overall enjoy the industry and my job even with its faults but Like you said I think I definitely need a new job. Also I don’t know your situation but catering/restaurants is where all my experience is so I almost feel stuck.
