I've been pretty addicted to it recently. I finished Investigations today after playing the trilogy. It has a bit of copaganda, but it's easy to look past.
It is in many ways a satire of the japanese legal system and its absurdly high conviction rate
Gumshoe is the only good cop (cuz he's too oblivious to notice the corruption)
So good. I was hella surprised in later sequels how thoroughly they wove the story in on itself. Really amazing writing. Lovable characters.
I don't worry too much about the politics of the Nintendo DS games I play. It's actually kind of funny when they're noticably terrible (not to say Ace Attorney is that bad). They're fun games. A nice relaxing escape, pretty goofy, and they make you use at least a little bit of your brain.
