Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Comrade King was a Democratic Socialist reverend who fulfilled a critical role in bringing about many civil rights for minority Americans.

Despite being bullied by the FBI into denouncing communism, he still openly associated with communists and labor organizers. Dr. King additionally opposed American imperialism in Vietnam.

Dr. King's last book, Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community? (libgen link) is a firmly anti-capitalist work that advocates for the better treatment of impoverished Americans through radical policies.

Here's an audio recording of King's last speech. Here's the timestamp for the last two minutes of it if you're a lib.

King's Letter from a Birmingham Jail is mandatory reading for the honky horde, and it is perfect to quote and reference when engaging with lib brained racists.

And, because King was a Christian minister, it seems only right to bring up something biblical. Jesus' Sermon on the Mount is a very relevant part of King's politics, so it can be read here in Matthew chapters 5 to 7.

Has anyone drank on Wellbutrin before? Today’s my birthday and I want to grab a couple tall boys and chill to some tunes tonight, but I forgot that I started Wellbutrin 12 days ago. It’s said to raise your risk of seizures in some people, but I’m pretty healthy with no history of that stuff, so I figured two 24 oz white claws should be fine.

(Not looking for medical advice, just want some anecdotal info)

I was being sarcastic about church, since I have to live like a Puritan for awhile. Not really though, I’ve only drank 3 times this year, so I can go another night lol.

I’m taking your advice and breeding some Pokémon, smoking a little extra, listening to some New Wave, and reading Blackshirts and Reds. Happy birthday to me lol

I would listen to Beatnik's advice, but FWIW I've been on Wellbutrin for years and never had a problem with drinking, though I did have occasional issues with drinking (seizures) on citalopram prior to that.

I saw a documentary a loooong time ago that basically said the reason doctors tell you not to drink when taking meds is because when they'd prescribe penicillin for syphilis, people would get drunk, go to a brothel, and end up re-infecting themselves. To solve this, doctors started telling patients not to mix meds and booze. The point was to limit impaired judgment and reinfection.
