Only heard a bit of the biden speech on npr. That shit was haunting. Just an old man slurring his empty words into a void of nothingness. And than to hear all the lib gushing about how momentous of a day today was.

    End of empire for sure

Genuinely sounds like something from late Reagan when his brain was basically sludge (even more so than at the start, I mean). We're gonna have four years of "don't make fun of Biden speaking" from libs

Not to be too ableist, but is "person with a stutter" a protected class? I feel like we should be able to make fun of him as much as we want, even if he did have a stutter

It's definitely an uncomfortable area and definitely a conversation we need to have with people with similar speech impediments, like my best friend growing up had speech issues and I don't think I ever said anything to upset him - but at the same time they're already using his stutter to give him empty praise - https://theconversation.com/joe-bidens-inaugural-address-gives-hope-to-the-millions-who-stutter-152674

Which I find kinda vulgar on a personal level. Like Trump had speech therapy until the late 80s and that didn't stop anyone making fun of how he speaks.

To be clear as I don't want to be misunderstood (I'm on heavy duty as fuck painkillers for my kidneys, I am spacey so I may just be repeating myself here and if so I'm sorry) - I don't think we should make fun of Biden's stutter at all nor any issues related to it or stemming from it. However I do think we should be able to call out people/organisations for blaming things on the stutter when they're clearly not related or for using the stutter in such a horrid empty way "gives hope to millions" like I find the fact they're doing that less than a day in incredibly disheartening.

Make fun of him for everything but his studder. I think it is a bit ableist, and have done it myself (presinald trunt lmao)

But his cognitive decline is pretty distinct from his stutter

Yes, thank you. That's pretty much it, the cognitive decline is distinct and unrelated to his speech issues which I would argue are easy to spot once you know what they are. You said what I was trying to say but without the rambling unclear painkiller-influenced nonsense.
