Tea is considered to have originated in China. But it’s the delicate, fresh-tasting green tea that became popular in Eastern society and is still the base of tea culture there today.
As tea culture spread and tea was processed for export to trade beyond regions, neighboring countries and eventually across oceans, it was discovered that the more oxidized black tea would retain its freshness and flavor better over long journeys than its minimally oxidized green tea cousin.
In the earliest days of border trade between China, Tibet and other neighboring countries, tea was fermented, dried and pressed into bricks to be used as currency. To this day, most of the black tea produced in China is exported out of the country.

i don't think he's being dumb or old when he repeats himself. I think he's just saying what he believes to be the most logical answer to the vote blue nomatter who debate. They keep pressing him on that and he gives the same answer because that's the right answer in his opinion. I think maybe he thought they just didn't get it or something.
He was asked other questions and he told brie that she might as well be asking him why they live under capitalism. like "why do we keep getting stuck with 2 shit canditates?": capitalism is the answer.
i distinctly remember them asking him what strategies we can use after the election (since everyone kept pushing the "activism" to then) and he literally answered "we can talk about that, but the important thing is that you take ten minutes..."
i didn't get to that part i stopped watching lol
