I believe this will mostly affects games which were lacking in technology.
I'd personally LOVE to see The Sims 1 or The Sims 2 re-released with performance and resolution upgrades, and, most importantly, made to be open world. Since they're older, I believe they could very easily render the entire map like The Sims 3, but with the charm of TS1 or TS2.
I cannot think of other games, since most games I see as adequate, whereas TS1 and TS2 were bound by system performance during their respective times.
Syndicate (1993) has a great concept, but the controls are annoying and some mechanics need balancing.
There was a reboot attempted by Starbreeze in 2012 but it was a bog-standard FPS that wasn't up to the quality they normally make. It's been dead silence since.
There are some games you might enjoy that are similar to Syndicate. Tokyo 42, Satellite Reign, Brigador, and this cute little free indie game called DataJack.
Waypoint/Remap Radio was obsessed with the Syndicate reboot for a few weeks this year, and that's the only reason I remember it exists lol
