The gnostic followers of Marcion ate only fish
Me! From a vegetarian/vegan perspective it must seem like total cognitive dissonance on an environmental/ethical basis, and to that - I have no response. Lol.
i explain it by saying i'm mostly plant based but am willing to eat fish cause i could handle catching and killing one, but i couldnt kill a chicken or a cow or a pig. i should only be able to eat what i'm willing to kill i think
That's a pretty fair thing to say! In my view there's also a global spectrum of intelligence, and the less intelligent are less sad to kill. Plants are much less sad to kill than fish for example. It sounds kinda dumb and morbid but it's how I view it.
it's especially holy i think
they ate grains too though i think
Anything that sat out the Mesozoic era in the water while my ancestors were being chased around by velicoraptors is fair game. Whales and dolphins and my dugongs are cool though they just dipped back into the water recently.
You, a liberal: "fish have just as much of a right to life as any land creature"
Me, a radicalised communist: "If it swims in the sea it belongs in my tummy"
