(ps this is just me giving my two cents, not any sort of official mod post. I am making this as a member, not a GenZedong mod)

Anti-colonialism, ever heard of it? Better yet, do you actually understand it?

white liberal mentality to think that the revolution will be won in white gloves.

newsflash: people will die, but nowhere close to the amount that are dying due to the system that is already in place. The same is especially true for a fascist colonialist state like Israel, performing an ethnic cleansing of the actual people of Palestine in order to create their silly little ethnostate.

Being a spineless coward because you're reverting to a worthless position of 'both sides bad' in such a situation in my opinion makes you an enemy of the working class and the colonized world.

But somehow this broke the brains of leftists all over. Even the pro nazi state ukrainian ones I expected to have maybe a few independent braincells to rub together, but apparently that was far, far too generous. Every day it shows that the imperial core is almost incapable of doing an actual movement.

They cry over the handful of settlers dead and give useless lip service to the thousands of Palestinians who died in the last few months. Anyone who sides with the US mini me is someone who should be removed from any real communist space.

Israel: We are building an ethnostate with a right-wing govt.

Ukraine: Can we do that too?

USA: We're here for both of you. How can we help? Billions in military aid? No problem!

I was pondering this just yesterday how these two conflicts are together the ultimate litmus test for identifying who is and who isn't a principled anti-imperialist. Because there are some radlibs who support Palestine but not Russia, and there are some conservatives who support Russia but not Palestine. So far it seems to me out of all groups Marxist-Leninists and fellow travelers have been the most principled anti-imperialists on both issues.

I'm sure we will see similar dynamics if and when other conflicts break out around the world. For instance i expect yet more filtering out of opportunists from principled anti-imperialists when the US starts a conflict with either Iran or China.

It'd be nice if all these both-sidesing liberals / socdems had to face a Palestinian tribunal and made to answer for their posts.

Really is incredible how they do the same shit every time. Kind of makes you think they might be acting in bad faith and enjoying the imperialist looting. 🤔

I don't even think it's that with many of them. Most libs in my personal sphere at least don't think that deeply about anything.

These people just wanna be popular.

So they give the most milquetoast, soggy cracker response to any event that ever happens. It just so happens that because the dominant ideological sphere they are supports genocidal violence, they are blissfully unaware that they are supporting that too.

I was saying this recently. For the test of whether you are an anti-imperialist leftist the only real questions need to be “Russia or NATO” and “Israel or Palestine.”

Every day it shows that the imperial core is almost incapable of doing an actual movement.

And even if against all odds they somehow did, it'd inevitably be a mission of simply REDIRECTING the harm, rather than eradicating it. I've been at this point for... A while now. Tells me how things will shake out in Amerika when push comes to shove.

Ding ding ding. Liberals aren't dumb. They don't need education or whatever. They might not know all the details but they know their class interests align with the middle eastern manifest destiny country.

Double down on fascism is the answer to all these questions. That's what libs will always do.

          Edit: Great article. Poignant part:

There is no such thing as leftist, centrist, or rightist in the Israeli government.

I oscillate between thinking they are dumb or evil. Perhaps they are both, but if they are so dumb how do they dictate how so much of the world runs? May be they will never support the downtrodden either out of malice or stupidity so does the question even need answering?

I think they oscillate between being scared and being selfish. You just need enough of a combination of both to get them to agree that there are five lights.

liberatory violence would not be necessary if oppressors did not create the conditions necessitating liberation.

It was rather obvious after they started writing "No war but class war" after Ukraine. No surprise that they would do the same even in clearer case. If, lets's say, Egypt invaded Israel now, they would call Hamas "Egyptian green men" and Palestinians "colonists".

      “No war but class war”

class reductionism, in my revisionism? say it aint so.

Yeah, but I at least figured Israel Palestine would be a more cut and dry situation.

Western media is doing its routine song and dance and all the usual suspects are out in full force, but I've been surprised by the amount of opposition by regular people. Waaaay more people are showing support for Palestine than was ever given towards Russia. It kinda makes me hopeful it kinda makes my stomach churn... I don't know.
