Looking for a post-05 Mini 14. Might not have the tacticool furniture of an AR or the sub-MOA accuracy, but minute of torso at 50 yards is good enough for me and I'm a slut for wood. Buddy of mine has the synthetic version and it's a hoot to shoot. MSRP is already really high and I've seen people on auction sites scalping them for like 1300, so might need to wait a while.

Accuracy - anecdotally I've heard you can get ~2 MOA out of it thanks to the heavier barrel. I don't need a tackdriver but a somewhere-on-the-target-driver would be nice.

Okay but stop and consider - If you got an AR-15 you could use stanags, and AR15 parts, and AR15 accessories, and if you really, really wanted wood furniture you can even get AR15 wood furniture.

Full disclosure: I am already a gun owner and don't need another one. I'm privileged enough to want to buy another rifle just because I want one. Given that I'm going to be a good boy in the eyes of the law. Thanks, though.

They'll likely drop a little in price sometime in the next 6 to 12 months. Give people enough time to realize yet again the Dems ain't gonna do shit to take their guns. I wouldn't count in putting together a $500 AR any time soon though.

Edit: if you happen to happen to see a Ruger Precision rifle in .223 in stock any where let me know, I've been looking for one off and on for almost six months.
