I struggle with this constantly and it really has me down on myself. My long term memory is great, just my short term is shit

    We all do, fam. That's a major aspect of ADHD. Get a notebook. Small enough to carry around. This is your memory now.

    Always be writing in it. This isn't primarily for stuff you need to remember in the future. You're OK on long term. You will fill this notebook with junk that you're not going to need past today. For example, every time I see a doctor, I try to spend my waiting room time writing down why I'm there and what's wrong with me. You know, so I don't forget to tell them in 15 minutes.
