It’s not entirely but if Nintendo didn’t keep their first party games at 60 bucks regardless of when they were released people wouldn’t feel like they were getting a rip deal charging 30 or less for it second hand. Nintendo keeps all their shit artificially inflated by never giving any good deals on their games, and they keep their hardware pretty much as scarce as they can as long as they can to maintain artificially high prices as well.
Nintendo is the mac of the video game world, a luxury brand compared to the working man's 8 year old laptop they emulate on.
