It's crazy how expensive those are vs. how durable they are. Everyone I know has had problems with joycon drift, after a year or so. I've got old playstation controllers that have been used for 10 years and still function more or less the same.

Legit the original ps1 and 2 controllers with analog sticks are borderline indestructible. All the extra bells and whistles they throw into the modern controllers just subtracts from the quality of the basic hardware.

Spray under the rubber with electronic contact cleaner, move the stick in a circle, let it dry. Works fine after that.

Nintendo fanboys will still buy them, They’d lick Miyamotos balls if asked.

Sad thing is most of these kids are younger than me and haven’t been using the companies products nearly as long as I have, yet I’m able to see the company needs some changes. It’s so insular and some of the practices it has are archaic. All companies are bad , but Nintendo is especially anti-consumer at times

I feel like everyone under the age of 25 is either extremely redpilled, or complete garbage. Zoomers can be based, but the ones who aren't based are really fucking bad

the level of brainwashing complemented by circlejerking is just insane in the last 5 years

I’m not sure about everyone, but a lot of them are going extremely reactionary or completely absorbed into the Neoliberal obsessed with shit like game consoles mindset

my child is pretty class-conscious, and they say that the girls in their year tend to be succ-dems or libs whereas the guys are chuddy as fuck. my guess is probably pewdiepie brainworms.

honestly my suspicion is that most of the Zoomer clout comes from POC (younger generations are more diverse)

My intuition is that right wing white Zoomers (which is like 70% of white Zoomers) are far, far, worse than white Millennials/Xers.

They’re growing up in a time where everything is hypercommodified to the nth degree I’m not surprised to see that. A lot of zoomers are waaaay over concerned with social media clout. Some of the people I work with are in entertainment and the younger people will literally not fuck with other people if they’re not within a certain follower count lol. It’s an inherently really divisive world view

Likely going to be $79.99 in the US which is... the same price as any other joycons.

Nintendo geta you with the idea of the console being cheaper than the competition.

Then once your in, you realize that all the good games basically never go down lower than 40 or 50 dollars in price. A USED copy of BOTW goes for 45 dollars on amazon rn

I hate to do this, but why is the price of a used copy reflecting on Nintendo?

The used price is high because the new price (which is set by Nintendo) never goes down

It’s not entirely but if Nintendo didn’t keep their first party games at 60 bucks regardless of when they were released people wouldn’t feel like they were getting a rip deal charging 30 or less for it second hand. Nintendo keeps all their shit artificially inflated by never giving any good deals on their games, and they keep their hardware pretty much as scarce as they can as long as they can to maintain artificially high prices as well.

Eh. I'll probably grab Skyward Sword. I've never played that. I am definitely not buying the special joycons though.

I’ll play it on yuzu probably, that’s what I’ve done with every switch game I wanted to play apart from animal crossing.

Console gaming is expensive there. Elder scrolls games were like 80 USD there too.
