What ones are good, what ones are bad?
Millennium Dawn has become my favorite. I seem to be the most active member of the subreddit. Used to be active on Discord. It seems not many people like it for some reason.
Old World Blues is another favourite. Honestly, it's a contender for best Fallout game for me. It just brings so much originality and vision. I've never seen a post apocalypse like that.
Kaiserreich used to be my go-to, but it got old. I liked what they did with the vanilla systems, but once I got around to mods that more dramatically change gameplay, I couldn't go back.
TNO is... A thing. Wasn't a big fan. Not many nations had content when I checked it out. Then I got banned from the community for saying the Soviet Union didn't commit genocide against Germans. I've heard bad things about them since (allegations of Nazism, of course) but it was mixed wih transphobic garbage so... Idk what to think.
I'm trying Iron Curtain now.
Edit: It sucks. Hardly loads. UI hurts my eyes. No Iran focus tree. Not a fan.
TNO's potential is ruined by its community's infestation with neolibs. Also, the shit about the "grey scare" and the CIA funding and supporting communists to combat fascism is comical.
They seem to be mostly big-brain centrists ("Stalin was just as bad as Hitler" types, even though their mod shows the consequences of not having Stalin, and they acknowledge it as objectively worse than our timeline) though I wouldn't be supprised if there was crypto-fash mixed in.
i haven't played HOI4 in a bit but I did stumble upon some mod-in-progress about the Spartikade revolution being successful I was planning on checking it out next time i get the craving
nah that's red world. That one seems pretty fun but iirc the developer passed away and it's outdated now
