I was on a good private tracker for a long time that was organized through Reddit. Lost the password, and their password reset is broken.

I'm curious what people are doing for trackers. I'm mostly into movies, TV shows, and books for content.

rarbg.to / pirate bay for movies / tv

    libgen.is for books

    sci-hub.tw for research papers

sometimes for obscure books you can find them at #bookz on undernet IRC

I use alpharatio and torrentleech for movies and tv, and myanonamouse for books. Keep an eye on r/opensignups.

Most general trackers are good for movies and tv. You can't beat myanonamouse for books - just ignore the shoutbox lol it's full of libertarian boomers.

EDIT: torrentdb.net has open signups now and looks pretty good

I like audiobook bay for books but they don't have the best selection sometimes.

SickChill (TV), Couchpotato (Movies), Headphones (Audio) talking to deluged so I don't have to think about trackers, over a VPN. I just set up some auto seed/removal rules so that I always seed to at least 1.0 ratio before deluged considers it for deletion. Maybe set up an occasional extra feed for obscure stuff but it's 99% hands-off.

Used to use private trackers (what.cd, IPT) but my accounts expired and those types of communities are too exclusionary anyway. Like, it's just torrenting - log off and get a hobby lmao. So much lost music because of ego; thankfully it's turning around with people uploading obscure shit to YouTube nowadays.
