Is Persona 5 Royal an absolutely necessary upgrade? I have P5 on the PS4 but I haven't gotten the chance to play it properly yet. When P5R was announced I was annoyed and you can't just upgrade. I don't want to play the inferior version but I also don't want to spend $80 (or $40 on sale) for a game I already kind of own.
So I've never played any Persona game before this one Royal. My nephew says not much changed but he only ever played a week worth of the P5. He also admits he was speed running this game and the other one. Later tonight will play more. Gonna start a new thread and when fans of the game come to comment you can ask them or I can ask for you if you like and tag you.
