Whether it's something you've read recently, a long time ago, or are still in the middle of: what is the single text related to the history, oppression and liberation struggle of the Palestinian people that you'd most recommend and why?
Never mind any generic concept of the best; just give whatever reasons made you choose what you did.
(I'll add my answer, too, in a comment later.)
Not a book, but Mayor was a real eye-opener for me in terms of what life is like in the West Bank as a Palestinian.
Simply getting day-to-day life that's suddenly interrupted by an IDF police raid was so jarring... Its not always easy to conceive of how folks in foreign countries get by day to day. And the movie did a really good job of capturing the vibe - the mundane living, the retail politics, the liberalish attitudes - of a major Palestinian city.
Love this answer. I'll give this a watch!
