We are really returning to the gilded age. The capitalists are really going to do it to us completely and totally unless the threat of a better alternative arises to scare them into making concessions for fear of the population turning on them in favor of the better example being shown (this is why the middle class was created when the USSR was showing a better example than capitalism).
