Why is an ML not being a materialist in their basic analysis of where the opposition to capitalism is? If anarchists are pointing rifles in the same direction, historical dynamics don't dictate present conditions. The enemies are different, the composition of the anticapitalist power bloc is different, and to get to the point where I'd have a meaningful ideological conflict with an anarchist we'd need to be halfway into a revolution that PSL certainly doesn't have the manpower to fight alone. If you want doctrinal MLs to fight a disciplined ideological conflict, as lovely as that would be you'd get a few thousand people who have a half-formed idea of Leninism and people like me who are so turned off by your personality that I wouldn't want to be associated with you buying lunch let alone trusting you with power.
