This is so fucked up.
The Author worked at a Foxconn factory and it's a pretty open "secret" in China that going to work for Foxconn should be a last resort because of how shit they are. One of the reasons being that the Taiwanese managers generally look down on other Chinese for not being from Taiwan.
Of course, ultimately the CPC is responsible for protecting workers, so I'm glad Foxconn is getting their long overdue government investigation. I hope that the recent trend of cracking down on industries who abuse workers will continue into the future.

This is a shame. Seems like he was good writer in a shit situation. I've had coworkers in retail commit suicide in the U.S., but they weren't nearly as poetic about it.
