I sure am glad we westerners industrialized our peasantry before the advent of mass communication!

In the autumn of 1943, the Japanese devils invaded

    and burned my grandfather alive

    at the age of 23

    This year I turn 23

    This is so fucked up.

The Author worked at a Foxconn factory and it's a pretty open "secret" in China that going to work for Foxconn should be a last resort because of how shit they are. One of the reasons being that the Taiwanese managers generally look down on other Chinese for not being from Taiwan.

Of course, ultimately the CPC is responsible for protecting workers, so I'm glad Foxconn is getting their long overdue government investigation. I hope that the recent trend of cracking down on industries who abuse workers will continue into the future.

This is a shame. Seems like he was good writer in a shit situation. I've had coworkers in retail commit suicide in the U.S., but they weren't nearly as poetic about it.

Great Man Theory is how liberals get off to the fantasy that people born with gifts and talents are rewarded for them and rise to the top in any consistent and just way.

The reality is that many talented and smart people die in poverty every year.
