Since the 2010s, in Hungary and in Europe as a whole, the mental health of the younger generation has deteriorated spectacularly, largely due to smartphones ...
I recently was catching up with an old friend that I've barely talked to in years, she's is particularly addicted to her phone. No joke, mid-conversation multiple times she would straight up just stop talking and start staring into her phone completely ignoring me.
Last year I went to a thanksgiving dinner with some comrades organised by a local org. The zoomers that were present spent most of the evening staring at their fucking phones AT THE DINNER TABLE.
I absolutely fucking despise smart phones.
Not everybody abuses them. My partner for example spends a huge amount of time on her phone but she knows when to put it away, and when its use would be considered disrespectful or inappropriate. But I don't know if you could say that for most people.
