I just got my MH4U save over to citra because my circle pad became unresponsive and this game is so good with a real controller. fuck the 3DS motherfucking hand numbing motherfucking horrible camera nub piece of shit. but good games and very good piracy/emulation on that thing though.
coolest monster: khezu but I absolutely hate fighting it
most fun monster: I like Najarala, the snake guy. Gore Magala has a very fun gimmick as well where you have to be aggressive and land hits to cure the status ailment he gives you.
I played the 3 demo a long time ago and ended up preordering the game because I found it to be so much fun, but I just never had the time to get into it after. Might have to give it a proper shot sometime but it's great to find a long, comfy game that you can enjoy.
I automatically like any game that lets me bludgeon dragons to death with a bagpipe
Nakarkos from Generations might be one of my favorite monster designs from any series, the bone hydra fake-out is such a cool use of mimicry and it's based on an IMO really underappreciated animal
