Does LPL count as niche when he has so many subscribers and views?

I like Paul's garage. Under 50k subs. https://youtube.com/@PaulsGarage He does sand casting of different metals and the stuff surrounding it, like making the molds or the boxes etc.

What I like best tho is his humor. He's sarcastic and self deprecating and hilarious.

Superfastmatt, the dude is an engineer and vlogs about building project cars. Super well made videos, insightful and dry humor which I love!

*removed externally hosted image* - Tom Scott like channel exploring obscure urban locations, projects and other things. Very authentic guy with great music and language skills. Often makes his own background music by just piano covering a relevant song

Cutting Edge Engineering is one of my favorites. Basically an Aussie couple that runs a machine shop where they do very large repairs on parts for heavy equipment. Loads of lathes, milling, boring, welding, all explained and filmed perfectly.

City planning and de-car-ification videos. This may be the c/OpenTTD mod account, but it's not solely because of the game; I'm just fascinated by transit and have realized car-centric infrastructure is almost always extremely inefficient.

The channel Horses showed up in my recommendations a couple months ago and I binged most of his upload history immediately. Extremely high effort video essays on a wide variety of interesting topics, with minimal fluff and sparse but gorgeous visuals.

My pick has to be The Linux Experiment, especially his Open Source News Podcast that I listen to every week !
