Ted's fine as a meme, but I'm really not sure reading his work will help much in the education department - unless you want to study how close someone can get to 'getting it', without actually getting it
Okay, I guess you can take some valuable thoughts from him. Still, his remarks about the Left in general and our LGBTQ+ comrades in particular are outright reactionary bullshit. And that 'conforming behavior to technological progress' bit is little more than Marxist alienation light, imo.
Admittedly, that 'motivation to achieve vs. motivation to avoid' part does sound interesting, I'm just not sure how true it really is. Personally, I am much more avoidant of pain than I am motivated to achieve, but I may be an outlier.
