Probably not, but just in case, explanation:

      CW: CSA

Aimee Challenor was a low-scale politician in the UK. Her father was arrested for torturing and raping a 10 year old girl in the attic of their house (apparently at the same time Aimee was living there). After he was arrested for it, she still hired him as her election agent when she ran for Parliament. This resulted in her being fired from her political party (the greens); she accused the greens of doing this due to transphobia (she's a trans woman).

Later on, she joined another party: the Coventry Liberal Democrats. She was promptly fired from there too when her then-boyfriend, now husband posted a series of tweets that explained how he liked writing and drawing smut involving extreme child sexual abuse.

After that she went to the US, where reddit hired her as a reddit admin; she had been a long time (5 years) reddit mod for several subs involving teenagers prior to that. Yesterday, a /r/ukpolitics mod posted a TERF article from The Spectator where Aime Challenor was briefly mentioned. The mod was immediately banned and the post removed by an unnamed reddit admin. Moreover, any mention of Aimee Challenor's name on any comment or even in private messages on reddit resulted in an immediate ban of the user posting said comment/PM. They also actually edited comments in the database directly when she was mentioned.

This unsurprisingly blew up and now several subs have gone dark as a result. The admins posted this statement. The drama is ongoing.

I also advise you to be prudent if you google this for more info, as you're likely to find an article from that shithead Graham Lineham as one of the first results; article in which he misgenders and deadname her all along. He also describes her ageplay fetish, with pictures of her.

her then-boyfriend, now husband posted a series of tweets that explained how he liked writing and drawing smut involving extreme child sexual abuse.

According to many people online (many of whom consider themselves to be leftists/progressives) this is actually completely harmless and fine since no actual children are harmed, and in fact having a problem with it is queerphobic and sex negative

It's 5 am and I'm crankier than usual

tl;dr: trans uk politician revealed to be at minimum a passive supporter of sexual violence against children, and then becomes an admin of reddit.

predictably, everyone is mad about it, for different reasons
