In my fourth year of my PhD on schizophrenia and I'm currently writing up my thesis. I'm procrastinating right now so thought I'd do something useful with what I've been studying.

And no, schizophrenia is not multiple personality disorder.

Edit: I have to get dinner and run some errands. I'm really enjoying this so I will definitely get back and answer the rest of the questions.

    Do you know the tv show undone? It portrays schizophrenia pretty prominently, if I remember correctly. What do you think of it?

      Sorry but I've never heard of the show. I couldn't see any mention of schizophrenia in wiki so I can't be of much help.

          I think @Orannis62 's comment would show that it'll be quite difficult to portray it on TV. At least in the manner that it's popular perceived.
