On this day in 1953, Cuba took its first step toward liberation when some cool and good comrades attacked a barracks in Santiago de Cuba.
And they were pretty sexy too.

Would be fun to see how many of this date movements are out there. Here's a less succesful, but quite special one: The 23th of September Communist League. Best way I can describe them is sort of as a more radical Mexican Weather Underground (that came to be as the aftermath of the 1968 Tlatelolco Massacre)
