You just reminded to me I have to study fluid mechanics and I hate you for it because I hate that garbage subject >:(

I just hate everything that has to do with mechanics pretty much. Also my professor sucks (as does almost every one of my professors).

I'll keep it in mind. It's not really that I find it challenging, it's much easier than most the other stuff we do, it just annoys me which is probably partly trauma from first semester engineering mechanics. The professor responsible for that class is fucking evil and enjoys torturing students and making them feel bad about their abilities. I passed his stupid class alright as well as his two subsequent classes but I fucking hate the subject now, although it's not like I loved it anyways. I got into this school for the math and physics, but it's kind of a chimera which is full of random engineering stuff that I never cared about and is only tangentially related to the rest.

EDIT: To be clear, the fluid mechanics professor is not the same as the evil engineering mechanics one. He also sucks but he is not exactly evil. The other guy is actually evil. He was the one who welcomed us to the school and he joked about students waiting for someone else to get the class in order to pass it as if it is funny. Literally the first thing we learned about our school was "this guy thinks it is funny to see people fail his class and he openly admits it".

Oh, here it is kinda worse in that regard because everything below 5/10 is a fail, only in most classes the majority fails. In evil prof's class success rates are 20-30%. Although there's still the advantage that we can retry every class as many times as we like lol

i don't care if lbm has stability issues out the ass, i still think the concept has higher physical fidelity over drawing and computing semi-arbitrary flux grids
