Copenhagen has decent public transport, as long as you don't mind the trains being old and half the signaling systems not working. The modal share is quite low for cars because Copenhagen is flat (and compact enough) that you can basically bike anywhere within 30 minutes (as long as you live in Copenhagen). This is also changing however, as property prices have been skyrocketing since 2008 (but really kicked into overdrive in 2020) and people are slowly being priced out of living within reasonable biking distance. Thus, biking to work has now taken on a class characteristic, which nobody in this place is talking about.

Also, there is supposed to be some new tramlines being openened in early 2025, which I'm looking forward to.

  • Also supposedly a lot of Republicans just don't like him on a personal level. Probably not enough to go against Trump, but enough that they could actually ask him questions during a confirmation hearing, which I don't think he wants. Also he has so many fucking skeletons in his closet that I think withdrawing is just easier.

  • In general, our trains are a relic of a more civilized age. If you are within the greater copenhagen area, the train services are generally really good and convenient. If you are outside of greater copenhagen, then the trainservices become more spotty, with frequent delays and cancellations. Also most of the trains are fucking old with no aircondition or amenities (outside of a bathroom that sometimes work).

The state railway service likes to brag about the fact that local trains have been electrified since 1934, which is also correct, but massively misleading, as the Danish government was perenially bankrupt in the 1960s and 1970s, so we just never got around to upgrading our electric trains to diesel.

  • I feel like this was a bad weekend to log-off, given that I have litterally no idea why so many moderators (who've been largely doing very well) are acting like they've betrayed the revolution.

No idea why people are offering resignations when it's a complete non-issue. This is like offering to resign from your job because you accidentally made the coffee wrong in the break-room.
