The Supreme Court would overrule it. Not that such an executive order could be made to begin with.

Thanks. Just picked it up on f-droid. Last update was 14 months ago, so I guess it's been balanced to perfection.
She was the one left after all the assassinations leading up to the election.
I put a c note on Harris. I think a lot of Republicans aren't going to go vote, and I think a lot of female Republicans are going to vote Harris anyhow. I think a couple unexpected seats may flip blue do to a stronger voter turnout of democrats, and that this will also be the largest voter turnout ever for the under 30 crowd due to all the attention this election has been fostering.
Edit* Hey, guys. Can I borrow $100?
The main bitch in here is that 5pm is too early to be dark. It's a tiny inconvenience at best to change the clocks. Most things do it on their own, now.
We're about to get off of dst. You want to stay on dst and eliminate standard time.
You have it backwards. Death to standard time. Daylight savings is during the summer. We're about to go back to regular time.
The gen x diamond thing: its essentially the equivalent of your coveted pokemon collection of rares you obtained, one of which is a super awesome shiny charizard worth a lot of money. But now, 20 years later some company started making that exact card and the new counterfeit ones are indistinguishable from the old ones. Your card isn't even rare anymore. They printed a billion of them.
For the lab meat: Everyone should be skeptical of something brand new that the large company in an aligarchy society tells you is totally safe. After it's definitely shown to be safe and good, it will be excepted. Gen X remembers that asbestos was supposed to be safe, and that it used to help a pregnant mom out to smoke ciggarettes, and lead in gasoline was a total non issue. Then X and earlier is from times where they got lied to a ton. We all still get lied to, but at least now if you dig around for it you can usually find the truth.
It takes a little more effort to make an account and even know that lemmy exists. That probably dissuaded a lot of casual creepers.
Report says it was sodium hydroxide (aka lye) and not very much. Not really a terrible deal.
As to it being green, obviously something was added to it.
Maybe it just takes most people 8 weeks and seems like years worth to you.
"Get yer finger outta that bunghole"
And the ever popular: "I think I'll use my human call. I'm so wasted, I'm so wasted"
That entire page you linked is all one single incident of a guy at a kayak factory, and by what you pictured the kayak factory was found guilty of something, which means they weren't doing something correctly or to code.
As to freezers, at least in the US they can all be opened from the inside, latched closed or not. It's actually against building regulations and fire code to have it any other way.
*edit: additional fun fact- the reason your house fridge closes with just a magnet strip instead of a latch mechanism happened like 70 years ago because sometimes kids would climb in them to play or hide (often old ones outside or at junk yards) and die. It was known as "The Refrigerator Safety Act".
It would. As well as many other safety features. If we ever hear about what happened, it won't likely be a story of "trapped and couldn't escape".
General tso's, extra hot and spicy, then make it more spicy. Steamed rice and crab rangoon.
There's actually loads of vehicles you can't tow like that without damaging. It's one of the major reasons most tow trucks are flat beds, now.
However (and likely what is happening here in this picture) a lot of dense cities with parking issues and traffic will have plenty of tow trucks like what is pictured because they're quicker and don't need as much room. But after the initial hook up and dragging the towed vehicle away from the curb (as pictured) the tow truck driver will get out and place wheel dollies under the two tires still on the ground so that they also don't end up rolling.
This is really the only way you can tow a vehicle against an owners wishes if you can't get the drive wheels picked up off the ground (since the vehicle would be in park) so all tow truck operators who don't use flat beds will have a set of wheel dollies with them. Drag it away from the curb, then attach the dolly, then drive away.
Stuff got too easy to really have to delve into a deeper understanding, most of the time, now. No jumpers, no dip switches, no pre-loading drivers or plugs that can be plugged into places they shouldn't get plugged into. Everything is color coded and plug n play. You don't have to dive in and assign com ports or anything.
I learned as I went because I wanted to get shit to work and that took a lot of educating to get there. Now, most of the time the situation doesn't come up, so that deeper understanding is a building block that just got skipped over. The offshoot is that when the more rare occasion arises that a deeper understanding is required, it's usually got a person way behind the 8 ball to be able to recognize and fix the issue.
You're comparing animals with fat throughout the muscle to birds that don't. Also, the connective tissue only starts to break down once getting to about 192f and needs to hang out for a good while between there and 210 to slowly break down. That's not how your great great grandma cooked chicken. Also, steak was best 200 years ago as it is now. Cooked really fast with some red in the middle.
Methods changed because we got better at cooking.
The name sold tickets is why.
