I'm not sure if there's actually a way to, but I could be wrong...
Its debatable/unclear whether I count as a cis man, but I think a really big one is being willing to call something out as being out of line, or disrespectful to another person. You have to be willing to contribute to a culture that doesn't accept disrespect towards populations other than the majority of the platform, and that holds people here to a higher standard than most places on the internet
So, I'm from outside this community, so forgive me if this seems out of touch to y'all, but how are these the same thing?
It kinda feels like this post is just alleging that because both are bad and create structures of power that aren't good for average people, that they are the same... Which seems like a ridiculous argument to me since thats true of A LOT of different systems of government. It seems to me that this meme could have just said "these things are both bad, and we don't like them here". For some reason it kinda reminds me of the whole "socialism is when the government does things" argument you hear from conservatives sometimes. I'd be curious to hear other perspectives, and learn from how folks in this community look at things differently than I do.
What am I missing?
God, old car interiors are rad!
Gross :(
If you don't care whether its open source I've been using this app for quite a while now and find its feature set pretty helpful:

Jesus fucking Christ, what a clusterfuck.
I can't wait to not be able to spend google play store credits on renting movies anymore, just like there's no way to spend google play store credits on purchasing albums or songs 🙃
They're all so pretty 🥹
Man, thats fuckin dope!!
Wow. Thats genuinely so sweet. Just donate an umbrella to make sure someone else's day isn't total dogshit
I often get similar sorts of issues on jerboa
That's fucking dope, thank you very much for the link to the issue!
Ayy, let's fucking go.
Glad it was a false alarm, it's nice to have them as an option in the android market
I know there are automated tools that exist for detection CSAM- given the challenges the fediverse has had with this issue it really feels like it'd be worthwhile for the folks developing platforms like lemmy and mastodon to start thinking about how to integrate those tools with their platforms to better support moderators and folks running instances.
Thats actually a fantastic point, thank you for pointing that out to me!!
Welp. That sucks dogshit :(
Guess its good the zenphone 10 at least came out before this happened, but its frustrating I won't have them as an option in the future :(
Doing both substance over style AND style over substance recommendations is fun! great post!
Also I agree with the other commenter, its worth recommending them anyway- even if ignoring piracy, you never know if you might see a copy at a thrift store or yard sale, or meet a friend who has them, etc.
Just that it gives me a route that feels like it makes more sense. I've been trying out organic maps and OSMand lately in place of routes I would normally drive with google maps, and previously it had felt like OSMand had the better routing but organic maps had the better interface (though there are some aspects that are better with OSMand, namely the display/label for the next turn is a little crummy in organic maps) but lately the routing has been good enough in organic maps that I've been preferring to use it over OSMand. I can't wait to see it continue to improve
I'm using it to type this comment and I REALLY like it! But I will say it tries to do punctuation for me, and that drives me nuts.
(Video is about an open source voice to text, input method for Android, by the way.)
